SUTIR collects the academic work of the faculty, students, and staff members of the university. The repository provides educational support to researchers and the public and aims to elevate the academic excellence of Thailand and to support the sharing of knowledge. When using the SUTIR, the intellectual resources are not to be used commercially and they must be cited appropriately by including the author and the university while referring to the work.

เป็นคลังปัญญาที่เกิดจากความรู้ความสามารถของคณาจารย์ นักศึกษา และบุคลากรของมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี ซึ่งได้สร้างผลงานจนเป็นที่ยอมรับและสามารถนำไปเผยแพร่ เพื่อใช้สำหรับสนับสนุนการศึกษา การค้นคว้า วิจัยและเพื่อให้นักวิจัยหรือผู้สนใจทั่วไป สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการพัฒนาประเทศและก่อให้เกิดการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืน

ดังนั้นห้ามมิให้นำผลงานเหล่านี้ไปใช้แสวงหาประโยชน์ทางด้านการค้า หรืออื่นใด นอกเหนือจากการใช้เพื่อการศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาประเทศเท่านั้นและจะต้องอ้างอิงถึงเจ้าของผลงานและมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารีทุกครั้ง
